Hi dear webmate,
This week was wonderful for me and my students, since we had an unusual lesson, full of new and exciting activities. My students started to use the Webquest http://zunal.com/webquest.php?w=230216 designed by me and put their drafts to the class padlet http://ru.padlet.com/wall/fextil0vye . I was excited to observe my students working on their pictures. First, they have gone through the exercises on the Webquest, then they chose a partner to work with. The most interesting thing was selecting a picture in pairs. They were excited and argued with each other (sometimes in Russian and Kyrgyz). Unfortunately, we didn't have much time for finishing the task, so I asked my students to put their drafs on the Padlet to demonstrate them how it should be done. They are to finish their description of a chosen picture by 10 March.
Concerning the peer review of a partner's project, I felt a little confused, since I think that Manda managed to cope very well with this task. Nevertheless, I tried to comments on some weaker (in my opinion) points.
I would like to list the "discoveries of the week" here:

Hi Samarat,
ReplyDeleteAll those links are wonderful resources for helping us managing our teaching. I thank to Sean for this. You are very lucky that you can practice using them with your students so you can learn from the process.
Best regards,
Baetty
Thank you, Baetty. I am really happy that I am in this course!
DeleteHi Samarat,
ReplyDeleteI think this is the first time I am visiting your blog. It is concise and easy to read. I am glad you are already benefiting from the dividends of the WebQuest and the Padlet. It is encouraging for me to notice that you and your students are excited about using the web tools. I hope my students and I will feel the same way when I start implementing my Project Plan. How are you doing with your Project? Is it going on as planned? Will you be able to finish completing it by Friday, the deadline? Wish you the best!!!
Foli.

Hi Samarat,
ReplyDeleteHow lucky you are to have started using your project in class already; your experience reflects the success of your participation in this course on your teaching.
Thank you for your short list of the week 8 tools.
Best wishes,
Manda
Hi Samarat,
ReplyDeleteI like your Webquest. Resources are very useful and instructions are clear. When I first learned about Webquest in this course, I thought it is designed for big projects only. Now, after visiting yours, it changed my mind completely. May I know how long it took you to create this Webquest?
Thanks!
Teresa
Hi Teresa,
DeleteI am glad you like my web quest. I can't exactly say how much time I spent on it. I think it took 3-5 days each 3-4 hours od work. It was difficult for the first time, however I am sure that I would be able to create my next web quest much faster.
Best,
Samarat
